Hi Jess! eARC technology provides support for uncompressed surround sound formats such as Dolby Atmos. While you can still utilize Dolby Atmos through standard ARC with Dolby Digital+, you will want to utilize eARC when available for the best audio experience. The HW-Q65T does not feature HDMI ARC compatibility. Check out Samsung's A series soundbars models Q600A or above for eARC support. ^Tim
