So why does it have an earc port and another hdmi port next to it? Can I hook it up with hdmi I tried but even though it said it was hooked up I got nothing.

Hi kelzo! The HW-Q65T does not support eARC. This feature is available starting with the HW-Q600A or above from Samsung. ^Tim
