Contrary to their response, yes you can use existing speakers. The connection from the wireless module to the speakers is infact wired, so you could utilize your existing speaker wires. But, you should definitely pay attention to the impedance. I have a similar setup where I did this.

Connection from wireless module to rear speakers is standard speaker wire, and the special plug on one end could easily be swapped (or wire spliced). From what I found online, the rear speakers have an impedance of 3 Ohm. Not sure right now what my ceiling speakers have, but worst case I could replace them.
