• It appears to be standard speaker wire but the one end that goes into the rear of the receiver (small box) has a unique plug..

• Hi Peter. The included speaker wire for the HW-Q850D Soundbar each are about 13 ft long. You can use different speaker wire, however to connect the wire to the wireless module you will need to connect the wires to the same type of jack attached to the provided speaker wire. ~ Samsung Solutions
