I have a TCL and I have full functionality. I think the only thing you wont get is the Samsung Q-Symphony thing where it links soundbar to the TV speakers. But i'm fine without it. The sound is amazing from the 7 channels as is.

The Samsung TVs that pair specifically with this soundbar creates "Q Symphony" sound, adding the TV speakers to the soundbar mix. Might be some elements of up-facing speakers that work better with a Samsung, but I've found it works fine with a 2009 non eARC HDMI, too.

I recommend using the SmartThings app. Download the app for your iOS or Android device and then connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. From here, you will be able to adjust all of the same settings as the provided remote, but with the added benefit of being able to see the changes on your smart device. ~ Samsung Solutions
