“Will the voice assistant randomly remind you that you're "not connected to wifi" or any other notifications? If so, can you permanently mute the voice assistant? I do not use wifi and this makes other soundbars chatter incessantly.”

I’ve never had the voice assistant speak randomly.

You do not need to utilize the built in WiFi connection to enjoy the powerful sound from this soundbar. You can mute the voice assistant built in to the Q900A by using the physical button on top of the soundbar. ^Tim
