• Hello Arlene, The maxmium ceiling that Dolby recommends for the best Dolby Atmos experience is between 12 to 14 feet. The HW-Q990B Soundbar has not only top-firing speakers for Atoms, but it also has side and front firing speakers on the rears. The Soundbar itself has 7 channels including 2 side firing channels and one center channel for nothing but dialogue. ~Samsung Solutions
