Hi Amari! The HW-S50A does not feature an HDMI input allowing you to connect an external HDMI device direct to the soundbar. You will need to first connect the device to the TV, then connect the soundbar to the TV to receive the audio. The HW-S50A is also compatible with Bluetooth wireless audio technology for additional ways to connect. ^Tim
