• It is a PCI-e M.2 SSD. One SSD for both the system and for Storage, which will be in the default folders, Documents, Pictures, Downloads, Music, Video. Just like any other Windows computer. An SSD is still considered to be a HDD.

• That's because there are two different models. I had the same confusion until I looked at the model numbers and saw the difference.
