I wouldn't recommend it. This laptop actually comes with an empty SSD slot (M.2 form factor; I don't know if traditional form factors will also fit), so you can install an SSD and keep the factory 1 TB hard drive. Good luck opening it, however, as the case is rimmed with easily-breakable plastic clips.
