• Top is aluminum. Not sure about the bottom. Solid well built laptop. Still installing and uninstalling software I don't need to see if it will speed up a little.

• The top cover / lid, chassis and hinge seems to be "Aluminum", however the bottom is plastic. Still a beautiful and well constructed device.

• I did a live chat on the samsung web site and the Agent said it was made for Duraluminum or some name like that. stronger than regular aluminum, but I still kind of wonder as I think they'd mention it somewhere it it was a metal material.
