Go into the Samsung settings pinned to your taskbar... you can set it to charge to 85%, then it will stop charging and switch to ac power only. This makes it work like the battery is not in it, so prolongs the battery life and prevents overcharging.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is best not to keep plugged in charging at all times; it is best not to recharge until battery charge drops below about 40% and then only charge to about 95%; do not leave plugged in all night charging to get maximum life out of battery
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This computer actually has a neat "power saver" function. It's always better for batteries if you don't charge them constantly. However, if you turn this feature on, it will power up your battery to 80%, then stop charging your battery and power your laptop purely through the outlet (as if there were no battery), which is healthier in the long term. You have a little less battery time this way, but I've definitely enjoyed this option to prevent overcharging and reducing the battery life.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With this low performance system, It's best to keep it plugged. Once it switches to battery mode the system slows considerable to conserve battery power.
