This question is very old and unanswered, hopefully you found some help I also own and have owned many Samsung phones, when i was researching i was exclusively only looking at Asus, HP and Dell laptops But you need to go into the store and handle the laptops, i fell in love with the Samsung and love it! No one can ever say there is a better laptop, all in what you like!

Money is a factor as well. Surface does things in the art area that Dell does not offer. I would think how you plan to use it and go to you tube for review on the two products.
