Can this monitor be used vertically? null

Yes it can, however it being curved I'm not sure this would be your best option in that configuration. Maybe go for an IPS monitor since they are cheaper now, and present better viewing angles particularly in portrait mode. Also, features like GSYNC and HDR might be overkill in portrait orientation, so you might save a bit by going with a monitor without those features.
