Yes it will work. I have this card, or did until a few days ago. Side info: Its not that it won't work, and more of the RX580 can't support the refresh rates. If you're planning to upgrade your GPU later then sure, game on. I just replaced my rx580 8gb sapphire a few days ago with a 2060FE (my wife's old card, she got a 3000 series card) and while all the cards can do 1440p depending on the game, you're looking at low fps still with the rx580 in most games. Though from the perspective of future proofing which was our purpose, get it. Awesome monitor. Though be sure to ensure you'll have room on your desk or get an ErGear 22-35" arm mount. We got the dual arm mount for two monitors to have a small 1080p on the side for discord and such, but their single arm will work for the G7 alone with that's what you're after. I was concerned it would have issues with the weight, but its worked better than expected.
