Correct the USB input port is intended to allow the monitor to function as a USB hub to connect USB peripherals to, such as your mouse and keyboard. The monitor only receives a picture input from the HDMI or DP inputs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can't display video over usb. You can display over thunderbolt which looks like a usb-c connection, but also takes a special thunderbolt rated cable as well. They make thunderbolt to hdmi or displayport adapters.
