Q: QuestionIs there a way to connect this ssd to Xbox One X?
Asked by aquaboss.
- A:Answer When I tried connecting Samsung X5 SSD to Xbox One X using USB-C to USB 3.0 cable, it does not recognize it. What works is Samsung T5, but you only get about 20% speed increase, compared to the stock HDD, which seems to indicate that Xbox One X does not use the full speed of USB 3.0. Upgrading to and SSD is impractical and a waste of time and money and even warranty. going from 10 seconds of loading time and getting 8 seconds of loading time is still 8 seconds of wait time, too many. What is a draw back of upgrading to that 20% loading speed increase is that, everyone online still uses the stock HDD, and if you play multiplayer games, you just end up waiting for other people to load and loading speed just becomes a waste of money. I would save the money for external drives and get the NVMe version of the xbox in 2020 or PS5, which Sony definitely announced that they will make loading times disappear on their next platform.
