You can easily replace the battery and all you need is a screwdriver to open the cover on the bottom of the chassis. You need to ship to a repair center for repairs. Their customer service could probably tell you where you need to send it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure how long the battery lasts in terms of years. I currently have 2 POWERbots. One is about 7 months old. There was no issue with the battery, but I did receive a bumper error that we couldn't clear. I called Samsung and trouble shot the issue briefly, but when we couldn't clear it they sent me a UPS lable to send the Vaccum back to work on. I just received the replacement last night, but have not opened it to determine if it was the same vacuum fixed or a replacement, but they had it back to me in less than a week. So I am thrilled with Samsung's customer service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the most expensive powerbot model. The battery lasted 2 months beyond the year warranty and it cost $200+. Now on year two of its use, the motor for the left wheel went out. Its back to New Jersey (the only place for maintenance in the UNITED STATES). Shipping costs $50 each way and that is on the customer. It would be nice if you could order the part and have it shipped without shipping the whole unit! BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THIS UNIT FROM BEST BUY!!!!!!! If not ouch when the warranty period is up!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We had to send ours to Samsung for repairs for something unrelated to the battery. Right now we have been without a vacuum for 3 weeks.
