How do you safely remove the card from the reader? null

Through the “Safely Eject” option on your computer screen. Should be on the bottom task bar.

From OP: I had not pressed the micro sd completely into the reader, even though it seemed very snug, once I had fully pressed the card in, the card was removed in the standard fashion for other devices.
