Our Maytags were probably superior for non marking but internally had issues. Don't go that direction. That said Samsung is also advanced a long ways from the days of endless finger prints and smudges that you elude to. My wife on the recommendation of our geek install guy bought a cleaning and protection product from Best Buy specifiacally for stainless steel appliances that works very well. Have not noticed any finger print issues. Hope that helps.
