The finishes are slightly different but I bought the Samsung dishwasher (little darker) with the rest of the appliances being the LG black stainless. My dishwasher is 3 feet from the stove, but you can't see the difference unless you know it. Bought the Samsung dishwasher due to the better reviews also.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, and microwave in July 2017. The ice maker in the fridge broke within a month, but Samsung covered the repair under warranty. The dishwasher had a metal piece around the inside frame come detached after less than 3 months - it prevented the bottom rack from being pulled out or pushed in without holding the piece down. Samsung is refusing to fix it, saying it's considered physical damage and not covered under warranty. If we were to purchase appliances again, we would not get Samsung.
