“An earlier question said this is not compatible with a tower computer. Am I to understand my HP tower will not work with this?”

I am not sure about tower computer. I bought this monitor from Best Buy for my son and he has connected both lap top and Chromebook and working very good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This monitor hooked up and works perfectly with my HP Pavilion desktop tower PC. I wanted a larger screen for my home office now that I am getting older and my eyes are getting weaker. This monitor is the perfect size. My HP Pavilion PC is about ten years old and only has a VGA output (most older desktop PC's will only have a VGA output). It's a nice bonus to also have the HDMI input built into the monitor, since my children can also use it now to hook up their chromebooks for a larger screen while doing homework and e-learning. This also future-proofs me in case I ever need to replace my desktop PC tower. The monitor also has a separate audio input/output for using an external speaker system. Works great with my Cambridge Soundworks 2.1 speaker system.
