“What is the power source? i.e. can it be charged and if so how long is the battery life. I asked this question at Best Buy and the staff was not sure, said he thought perhaps it took D batteries???”

Hi KC! The Sound Tower line of speakers from Samsung do not feature a battery power source. These speakers require a standard outlet to plug in to. ^Tim
