The T5 has part of its drive partitioned as an encrypted drive. It is only accessible with the included software. If the software was deleted it must be downloaded from the company support website.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't use the devices hardware encryption as I always use the OS's software encryption. If the device fails you are out of luck - which it will do eventually, like all drives. if it gets stolen and is encrypted you should be safe - which is basically the point of disk level encryption. Use a good password, or better a password manager and don't lose it.
