Probably because the people just don’t like the blue one, so they make it cheaper. I get the blue one and I bought a silicone black case so I can travel with that one with no worries about scratching or anything.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because they are "old" model. The specs are identical. However, the 500GB T5 has been manufactured in only blue color for 2 years. Now they added the new red and gold which requires extra manufacturing process. Imagine buying a car. It has several stock colors but you want it in chrome. well, you pay extra.
