• The adapter is used to turn a micro charging cord to a c- type cord. It doesn't do anything to make the charge faster, it's for making use of your micro cords when you have products that only use C- type . I have a lot of micro cords so it helped me to make use of them for the newer models laptops, cell phones and computers. Hope this helps. (I don't have a Kindle)
