The usb type C is Male, the usb type A (micro) is Female. I have search for a female C everywhere & have yet to find it in anything other than a hub. They don't want you transfer backwards, so you really have to hunt down an adapter to go from the newer standard to an older version they're trying to make obsolete so you have to buy new everything. And when you do find one, it may not work if it's just an adapter & not a powered unit, so check that out when you think you've finally found it! I'm currently losing my mind searching for lightning hubs or a female C (thunderbolt) to male lightning. Sometimes it's easier to transfer it onto something else where it can then be transferred via cable, adapter, cable + adapter, sd card (usu with reader) or thin air (like text, email, Bluetooth, airdrop). Good luck! They really hate us not changing over so be creative :)
