Settings may be wrong. If your TV recognizes your Network, then adaptor is working. Try disconnecting the adaptor when your TV shows you're connected. If your TV now says you're not connected the adaptor was working. Try then shutting everything off and reconnect the adaptor, then turn back on to reset the signal and check settings. You may have to do this a few times to establish the signal. Good Luck
