Unfortunately I believe it's the charging pad itself. They also have a "fast charge" wireless pad that sells for about $20 more and knocks about 40 minutes off the charging time. Sometimes I prefer to still use the fast charging block that came in the box with my new Galaxy S7 Edge. I think this is one of those marketing things they do just to make people feel like they have to have the biggest, bestest, fastest whatever product it may be that usually isn't economically affordable.
