Yes, I have the Samsung 3.1 soundbar and it works perfectly with it, in fact the rear speakers set are specifically mentioned in the instructions for the n5500 soundbar I have.

Yes it supports 3.1 as the default, but you can add rear speakers and also use the 5.1.

On the wireless speakers if you google the model number it will tell you which soundboard they will work with. This speaker set will only work with the following sound bars. Samsung Soundbars: HW-M360, HW-M450, HW-M550, HW-M4500
