• You don't need the sound bar for sound. The sound bar enhances The sound. It gives more of an theatre affect. That is if you have all the pieces. The sound bar will connect directly to the tv by way of optical or HDMI out. The rest of the system is Bluetooth. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking about a sound bar.
