“bought these wireless speakers yesterday and they don’t quite work. I plugged them in, connected them to my sound bar but all I hear is a static faint noise from the speakers and I can only hear them when really close to them. I have the Q60r soundbar.”

You need to 'strip' off the small amount of clear plastic on the wires so they make contact when you hook them into the actual speakers. They will sound great after.
