Yes the 2 satellite speakers must be connected to the receiver. They are only wireless in that they do not physically connect to the soundbar unit, which affords some freedom of placement. 16gauge wire (i believe) with a proprietary connector is included but if further distance is required I'm assuming you can spice in the additional needed length though probably not recommended as these rear channels arent too powerful and would lose effectiveness if set further apart. Side note when I first plugged in the proprietary connector to the back of the reciever i thought it was a very loose connection (I almost felt I wouldn't be able to use it especially with a toddler with grabby fingers bouncing off the couch) and thought maybe a clip was broken. But if you give it a bit more big boy effort the connector seats in with a satisfying click and is firmly connected. I have them set up directly behind my couch and for the price I paid for them I am satisfied with the sound over the TV speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
