• yes it comes with black, yellow, blue & red but they are samples so it wont last very long, i would still recommend you buying extra cartridges .

• It comes with a set of cartridges that you can use. But really it depends how much will you be printing if you have to print out over 200 sheets then maybe you should get a separate cartridge.
