No. I actually had to return this unit for a similar reason. Although it's hard to tell from the description, no data transfer is possible via USB. USB is only for charging. All data transfer must be wireless.

Please try again later.Sorry, I couldn't even get help from the people at San disk for the purpose that I bought this, which was to download all my photos off my smart phone. I will most likely just toss the device or give it to someone who knows what to do with it since nobody can help me. Hope you can find someone to answer your question.
