Yes you can, you can put any file you want on this USB, and then, if anything happens to your computer/system, the files will be intact, as long as the files don't require something that only your computer had, and that has it no longer, let's say, a Sony Vegas project (video editor); if you had Sony Vegas, and you save your project, then reboot the system, and you DO NOT install Sony Vegas again, then the file will be useless until you install Sony Vegas again, or use it on another computer that has Sony Vegas. I hope this helped!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would ideally depend on the how much information is saved on the computer, please calculate the file size in Gigabytes and buy a flash drive accordingly,.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends on how much "stuff" you have on your PC. You can easily copy your documents and settings over in most cases, unless you have a lot of large files (movies, videos, etc.) in your My Documents folder. I have used it by copying my entire user profile (C:\Users\
), wiping the PC, then pulling the essential data back into the new PC. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Of course; as long as you have less than 8gb of data that needs to be stored.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is what the drive is for. So the answer to your question is yes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you mean backing up your files for a restore, yes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will only be able to restore data files (documents, spreadsheets, photos, music etc) from this device not programs. Also you must make sure that you always copy the "latest and greatest" version of the file to this device. However, the device only holds 8GB of data so you may not be able to store all of your data. A better way would be to purchase a large USB hard drive (2TB) and some backup software for your computer that would automatically back up your files on a schedule so you always have the most current version on the backup media.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As much as any other USB storage device, yes. But there is no software to automate the process.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.some but not necessarily all.
