Yes, USB 2.0 drives are backwards compatible with USB 1.1 . The drive will just read/write at USB 1 speeds.

All USB Devices are backwards compatible. You will only run into issues if you try to use them in an USB 3.0 port.

Yes all USB 2.0 Device are compatible with USB1.0/1.1 It will operate at a slower speed to work with USB1. on a USB2.0 port 10 second for 1gb data transfer on a Usb1.0/1.1 port will be 5min for 1gb data transfer

Yes, all newer specifications (3.0 and 2.0) are backwards compatible with 1.1.
