There is a way to point your your documenst, pictures , videos to any drive, windows will move the files there and future files will be saved there. While this can be done I do not reccomend it with removable USB flash drives ves permanently. You can temporarily move the file for update then maybe move them back. If you are low on space consider a hard-disk upgrade. ?? A good time to consider an SSD it will speed up most modern computers as well as extend operating time on battery.

Please try again later.You can certainly store your files on this device to free-up space to run the MS updates, but certainly not the only option because these devices are very small and can easily be misplaced unless you are a very well organized person and won't forget where you put this usb drive.
