The only difference between the Extreme and Extreme Plus is that the Extreme version is rated up to 160MB/s read and the Extreme Plus is rated up to 170MB/s with the SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 Micro SD card reader. Otherwise both versions can read and write up to 90MB/s on all devices, the maximum the UHS-1 standard allows.

Though I did some slight research on this before my purchase and the general consensus online was that the read/write speeds are different between the two models. The "Plus" version has been accepted as the faster performing card between the two. Although this difference in speed was slight, it was recommended for use in digital cameras and audio recording. I'm using my card in my Nintendo Switch and while it loads fast I can't say I've noticed a huge difference from non Plus cards in the last.
