A camera i can imagine being reasonable because a camera thats uses a chip instead of film would optimize the image digitally and the bytes would come im mostly in the size of probably 3mb. But a telescope i can imagine not doing that unless its a digital one and if it isnt i can imagine the image being the size of a fee gigs and if u are running seconds that means frames every second are taking place by light there for the storage of that image may be a bit too large if used for multiple long exposure images.
