“Did WesternDigital/Sandisk discontinue the "extreme plus" MicroSD card line? While on the flagship website, they only have Sandisk Ultra, Sandisk Extreme, and Sandisk Extreme Pro cards. Can't find anything about the Extreme PLUS cards.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From what i can tell, the Extreme Plus is discontinued....probably as a way to force us to buy the Extreme Pro version that Sandisk is keeping. The regular "extreme" version is also staying around....but I know NOBODY that ever used the base line model over the Plus version.
