Most Smart TV's don't have the firmware to read SSD's but if you have an portable SSD already or a USB drive with USB 3.0 and can use either one of those with your TV you should be able to use this.

However, in order to know how to connect and watch movies from a connected SSD Drive on your Smart TV if possible, it would be best to contact the manufacturer of your Smart TV.
