• Format is ExFAT for the Sandisk SSD usb drive.

• All Sandisk drives 64GB and larger are formatted at the factory as exFAT, to support files larger than 4GB. The drive can be formatted as FAT32, but then you have the 4GB file size limitation. I have used freeware downloaded from the Web to accomplish formatting as FAT32, and it works perfectly fine for devices (typically older) that do not recognize / cannot handle the exFAT that comes on the drive from the factory.

• you can reformat to anything you'd like, though it comes out of the package as exFAT

• The drive comes formatted as Ex-Fat but you can format it to whatever you want.
