• Yes it will work fine with your camera you will notice a nice differsnce in the speed with this card if you happen to go to Best Buy before Saturday the 11/11 you can get them on sale for the pre Black Friday sale. You can actually get the better one the extreme pro

• Yes, you can however get away with a slower rated card as this is more for high data rates. If it's on sale though, no reason to not grab it. Consider it as future proofing yourself for the chance you get a camera that needs the high data rate.
