Hi, please be informed that we have not tested connecting this SSD Drive to an NVMe M.2 to USB adapter/ converter. In order to know if this SSD Drive would work in your computer using an adapter/ converter, please contact the manufacturer of the adapter/ converter that you are planning to use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to purchase an external enclosure that's compatible with M.2 NVMe SSD. You will need to connect it as an external drive in order to format it with your MacBook Pro. Your MacBook Pro will recognize the drive but sees it as an unknown drive. You will format it on Apple format, once you do that, you can replace the old drive inside the MacBook with this SSD. I had to search for videos and instructions on the internet but I was able to get it to work with my 2013 MacBook Air. The key is to purchase the correct external enclosure. I purchased an incorrect one on Amazon and it would not read the SSD, had to get the correct one. Good luck
