You will need a adapter to mount it. 3.5" to 2.5" Adapter. Or you can use some sticky tape if your feeling a bit lazy about it.

Please try again later.Yes it is compatible (ie standard SATA drive) but you will need to adjust the mounting mechanism since it is much smaller than the drive it is replacing. I would suggest double sided tape but you can also just let the drive float in the housing. There is a youtube video on changing this drive. In order to know if your system has an internal 2.5" SATA slot, it would be best to contact Dell Customer Support as they would have all the technical specifications for your system.
