The SanDisk USB 3.0 Flash Drive can store a file larger than 3.0 GB provided that the capacity of the drive itself is larger than 3.0 GB.
SInce at least 2017-November, the default format of the SanDisk USB 3.0 Flash Drives has been exFAT (extended File Allocation Table), which format can handle extremely large files, and which format is also supported by Windows, and Mac OS.

If, for example, you have a Flash Drive with a capacity of 32 GB, that drive can store a file larger than 4.67 GB.

I've put >10GB movie files on mine with no problem. Took a while though. These aren't fast, but the movie plays just fine on my system.

FORMAT THE DRIVE TO A NSF FILE AND YOU CAN DOWNLOAD LARGER SIZE FILE

I transferred 24 GB of info in a matter of minutes with this drive, so a file of less than 5 GB should not be a problem at all.
