Hi, please be informed that SSD Drive are much faster than traditional hard disk drives because unlike hard disk drives, the SSD Drive does not have any moving parts like a disk, motor, etc and instead an SSD drive has uses Flash storage for data storage. Therefore, using an SSD Drive would result in faster boot times, faster data access/ transfer speeds, etc. If your Dell Desktop PC has an internal 2.5" SATA slot, then you can connect this SSD Drive in it. In order to know if it has an internal 2.5" SATA slot, it would be best to contact Dell Customer Support as they would have all the technical specifications for your desktop.
