I asked this myself recently and depending on your software and resolution, it is estimated to be 1GB per hr of video. This should give you a baseline. If you have multiple videos, may want to look at NAS it larger external drives. I’m converting from VHS to DVD and backing up to flash and external drives

However, you may check the size of the file you wish to transfer and purchase a required size. Also, be informed that we cannot add extra storage space to our drives.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use it for storage of 32 gigs might seem a lot, but adding cd files could take up space pronto. USBs are not meant for running videos and such. I use my USB sticks for moving files. Don't forget to eject from file explorer or you might lose data or even make the stick inoperable.
