- Answer Each CD holds 700 Mb. 1 Gb=1000 Mb. 32 Gb =32000Mb 32000/700=45.7 32 Gb USB can holds about 45 CD.

QuestionUSB 3.0 version backwards compatable with USB 2.0?Is the sandisk ultra 32gb USB 3.0 version backwards compatable with USB 2.0? or even regular USB for that matter? My personal computer has the 3.0 but I think most of the computers I will use this on at work only have USB 2.0.

- Answer Yes it is backwards compatible. it will just copy at a slower speed at usb 2.0

- Answer Simple, you plug it in the usb port on your computer and when it shows up on the desktop just click on it and whatever is stored will be visible to you. I used it to back up my photos along with other flash drives and have never had any problems with any of them. By the way I am, amongst other things, a professional photographer and have stored thousands of images on these flash drives and lock them I'n my safe for safe keeping. When I see an excellent price like this one I grab it! Hope that helps.

- Answer Yes it will! I just stuck one in my parents' Samsung TV to solve an app space problem for them. It was very plug and go and downloaded the streaming app they were trying to use onto the drive.

- Answer It depends on if your computer has a usb 1.1port or a 2.0port. Most flash drive(including this one) for sale now is no longer compatible with 1.1 ports. Recommend to go for a usb 2.0 drive. A regular mp3 music file is around 3MB-10MB depending on quality. If the drive is only used to store those music files, you can save over 5000 songs

- Answer It depends on exactly which particular one you end up getting. Several days ago I bought a red one and a black one, (both made in Malaysia). The red one does NOT have a light, but the black one has a blue activity light. However, roughly 6 or 9 months ago I bought a black one (made in China) of this model, and it did NOT have a light. All three are the same model: SanDisk - Ultra 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive. Also, the red one slides open way too easily, it will slide open just by pressing the end (inside where a key-ring would go) without pressing the "button". Also, If you look at the USB plug end, there are obvious differences, different designs.

On the off chance that this is not a joke, It is designed to copy your files/information faster to and from your computer. The speed; however, is predicated on whether or not your corresponding intake slot is also 3.0 compatible.

- Answer I used this drive for Windows 7, 8, & 10 to install via the ISO file. No issues at all, just some computers won't boot via USB 3.0 so if you have a problem try using a USB 2.0 port on the computer.
